• Uses established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of pertinent work processes and procedures, and familiarity with internal programming standards, system software, and development tools (knowledge in Java and J2EE framework preferred), to provide required analysis of business problems.
• Uses all phases of system analysis concepts, techniques, and methods; knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, and the regulations, structure, techniques, and management practices of one or more subject areas to design complex e-Business systems or subsystems.
• May prepare detailed specifications required from information developed by project manager or system analyst.
• Researches routine user problems and solves them by modifying existing systems when solutions follow clear precedents; works within defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and adapts guidelines to specific situations.
• Reviews design, analysis, and code for quality and adherence to standards.
• Receives general instructions for specific and ongoing assignments and refers problems and unfamiliar situations to team leader/project manager; finished work and methods are checked.
• Prepares and gives presentations to internal work groups.
• May train end users on established programs.
• Provides support.
• Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.

• Ability to develop and/or modify and adapt systems, hardware configurations, and programs to meet individually specified needs.

• Ability to analyze and interpret information systems proposals, and to evaluate and develop alternative implementation plans.
